Scheduled automatic patch upgrades for managed kubernetes

We’ve introduced scheduled automatic patch upgrades as part of our Managed Kubernetes service. This feature allows customers to schedule Kubernetes cluster upgrades to the latest available patch version. Portal users can choose the timing that works best for their specific operations whether that be upgrading daily or on specific days and times.

The functionality will make it easier for our customers to ensure that their clusters stay up to date with the latest security patches and improvements, helping to minimize potential vulnerabilities and enhance performance.

New flexibility for dedicated load balancer deployment

Until now, assigning a customer to a dedicated load balancer node meant adding the node to a shared cluster, isolating it and managing everything through standard operating procedures. This meant that when our customers needed to create new load balancers or to change their placement, they had to contact us so that we could coordinate these procedures.

To simplify the process, and provide an extra level of flexibility and customization, we’ve introduced a new dedicated load balancer cluster feature. The feature allows customers with dedicated clusters to select their cluster directly during the order process. Load balancer instances on dedicated clusters can now be deployed directly from the portal and API.

Additionally, for existing instances, we’ve made it possible to change the cluster, allowing for seamless migration to a different cluster (provided it contains at least one active node and uses the same routing mode as the original cluster).

This is a significant update to our dedicated load balancer service and reflects our commitment to empowering our customers with tools that enhance scalability and operational efficiency.

The option to update two-factor authentication (2FA) has been added to portal

You can now easily update your two-factor-authentication (2FA) token in the customer portal. Whilst the overall functionality has not changed, the additional feature will make it easier to generate a new token in the event that the device used to store your authenticator app is lost or stolen.

Simply click the Update 2FA button and the previously generated token will become invalid.

We’ve continued expanding our data center locations in line with customer demand and in January, we opened DFW5 - our fifth location in Dallas – Fort Worth.

Dallas remains one of the largest data center markets in the U.S., offering access to robust infrastructure, the largest connectivity hubs across the Middle West and East Coast and low-latency access to key U.S. markets.
